A picturesque retreat awaits in this 1313 square foot log cabin with cathedral ceilings and a wall of windows, wood burning stove, contemporary interior with modern décor and unrivaled privacy. Located only 4 miles to Whiteface Mountain and 13 miles to Lake Placid, you'll find yourself perfectly located to satisfy any hiking, skiing, fishing, and shopping desires you have!
This log cabin is located in the woods but is close to everything. 3 bedrooms, 2 baths on 2.3 acres has a mountain bike/cross country trail on the property available for your use. Enjoy coffee on the screened-in porch or walk out to the large outdoor deck while enjoying the foliage, snow, birds, and deer. Enter from the screened porch into the home with an open living room, dining and kitchen concept with a cozy wood stove, 2 bedrooms and a full bath are on the main floor. Upstairs in the beautifully beamed house, you'll find a loft area with a television, full bath, and grand master bedroom.
The Kitchen is outfitted with everything you will need, however if you have any special requests please let us know ahead of time! High-speed internet, smart TVs, linens & towels, washer/dryer, a hairdryer, and iron are provided for your convenience.
Quaker Mountain Cabin comfortably accommodates up to 8 guests in 3 bedrooms, complete with 6 beds, including a cathedral ceiling master with king bed. The loft area also provides additional room for accommodations, as well as the finished basement.
This is a fairly quiet neighborhood as many of the houses are surrounded by trees. You will find yourself feeling remote, but within 1 mile of pizza, a small grocery store/gas, and adult beverages.
One dog will be considered with prior approval - please advise in advance if you plan to bring a pet.
Please be mindful, while we have never personally seen a bear in the Adirondacks, they do exist.

Policies
SMOKING: There is no smoking allowed on the property. This is for the consideration of guests that may follow you and for the protection of the property.
PETS: One small dog is allowed, per a conversation and approval by the homeowner before booking. No puppies please. In your booking inquiry, please indicate size and breed. We ask that the outdoor area be free from waste before departure, and that the dog does not get on the furniture/bedding so as to minimize allergens for the next guest. There will be a $250 non-refundable charge for your pet as additional cleaning and sanitizing will be required in between guests.
QUIET HOURS: Quiet hours start at 11:00pm. Please be respectful of the neighbors as many are full time residents.
CLEANING: We have a cleaning team who will clean in between guests, but please pick up after yourselves. This is our second home with many quality upgrades and furnishings. Enjoy our home, but realize it is a home and not a hotel room. We kindly ask that you treat it with care.

Welcome! We are Lauren and Jeff Smith, and with our two daughters - couldn't be more happy to share our home with you!
Our family discovered our love for this area several years ago, often vacationing here with extended family. In fact, we loved it so much that we got married on top of Whiteface Mountain! At the time, we marveled at the beautiful scenery along the water trails, and the tall trees flanking the roads - we found how relaxing and peaceful this area was. When we purchased this cabin and started spending time here, we knew we wanted to share this serenity with others. We wanted to offer our guests a home-like experience, so we renovated, furnished, and equipped it with quality furnishings, bedding, and decor. We don't want our guests to feel like they are in an ordinary rental, we want you to feel at home during your stay. Our goal is that by always focusing on you, we will be able to build a legacy of beautiful memories.

Had a wonderful time in Lauren’s beautiful home.
The location was peaceful and secluded and had many amenities that made us feel at home. The basement/game area was fun and had many games to keep us occupied. The bedding was amazing, we slept great and loved everything about the home.

This cabin is amazing.
Lauren has done everything to ensure your stay is stress free and fun. From flexing our check in to making sure there is many accommodations in the cabin for entertainment as well as daily living. I would highly recommend this for a family stay and yes of course I will stay again!

Amazing experience!!!
From meeting the care taker Penny to relaxing by the wood stove to hanging with my son at the Fire pit!!! So much fun.
