Wake up to unobstructed, 180-degree views of Cayuga Lake from your private retreat, perched high above America's first wine trail.
With a winery just 500 feet from your door, a private infrared sauna, a stone firepit overlooking the lake, and an entire floor dedicated to rest and play, this is the kind of place you'll be planning your return trip before you even leave.
The space
This thoughtfully designed three-level cabin sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. The main floor features soaring vaulted ceilings, an open-plan kitchen and dining area, and a light-filled living room where every window frames a lake view. Step through the sliding doors onto the covered balcony — four Adirondack chairs, a timber-framed ceiling, and Cayuga Lake stretching as far as the eye can see.
The loft bedroom tucks under the roofline with sloped ceilings and its own charming character. The second bedroom offers quiet comfort with garden views. Both bathrooms are full — no waiting, no sharing.
The R&R level is the home's secret weapon: an entire floor built purely for rest. An infrared sauna glows warm and ready. A game table awaits. A reading nook invites you to slow down. A dining area with panoramic lake views through twin windows rounds out the space — it may be where you spend most of your time.
Outside, a stone firepit with four Adirondack chairs sits in the open lawn with the lake as your backdrop. Evenings here — fire crackling, stars overhead, glass of local wine in hand — are hard to leave behind.
The Location
You're on the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail — America's first wine trail, established in 1983 — and Six Eighty Cellars is a short walk down the path. The winery takes its name from its elevation: 680 feet above the lake bottom. Your cabin is perched even higher, which is where those views come from.
The surrounding area is genuinely rural and private — no neighbors in sight — but major conveniences are never far. Ithaca, Trumansburg, and Seneca Falls are all within 30 to 35 minutes for dining, shopping, and waterfalls. Taughannock Falls State Park is a must-visit nearby.
Perfect For
Couples seeking a romantic wine country getaway. Families with kids ready for adventure. If you believe the perfect vacation involves relaxing at a home that has everything to offer from an infrared sauna to board games and cornhole. If you believe the best evenings end with a barbeque, a glass of local wine in hand, and a sky full of stars.
For the safety and security of guests and the property, exterior security cameras are installed overlooking the entry doors only. No interior spaces are monitored.
Guest access
The entire cabin is yours for the duration of your stay — all three levels, both bedrooms, both bathrooms, the R&R level, the covered balcony, and all outdoor spaces including the firepit and surrounding lawn. There are no shared spaces and no other guests on the property. Parking is free and available directly at the cabin.
Six Eighty Cellars winery is a short walk down the path and is open to the public during regular winery hours — we recommend checking their website before your visit for current hours and events."
The cabin features a smart lock for seamless self-check-in. Your unique access code will be sent to you 24 hours before arrival

Lives in New York, New York
My wife and I are professionals living in NJ, working in NYC. We love traveling to various locations globally and within the US, with the Finger Lakes region being our favorite! We have since decided to open a small vacation rental business across the Finger Lakes. We aim to provide our guests with a high degree of comfort, cleanliness and safety in our homes. Our goal is to provide our guests with exceptional service to allow them to enjoy their home away from home!
The cabin views are spectacular! We had a great stay! Enjoyed the winery and lake and adorable deer and bunnies. The sauna inside made it extra relaxing.

The cabin was spacious, clean, comfy, and complete with stunning views. Ronnie was super communicative and made sure we had everything we could want or need. We were surrounded by delicious vineyards, hiking trails, and amazing vistas. We loved staying here and hope to return in the near future. If you stay here, make sure to wake up for the sunrise over the lake!!!

Having grown up and spent most of my life in the finger Lakes region this is one of the best views you will ever find. The Cabin was very spacious with lots of windows for viewing and very private. We’ve traveled all over the world and this is one of the best spots you will ever find. You can walk to wineries and we rented a houseboat for the day that was only four minutes away. If you’re looking for a true finger lakes experience, you cannot beat this. Ronnie was very responsive and the Cabin had everything we needed. This place is a must if you want to live the Finger Lakes experience.

What a lovely cabin, in a lovely spot! We’ve never stayed on the edge of a vineyard, or even in farmland in general, and this was a gorgeous place, perched above everything. The views (especially of the lake) were amazing, and the more immediate environs were great, too. We walked to the nearby vineyard at one point, and at more than one point we saw deer families frolicking and a solitary woodchuck along with lots and lots of birds. The house itself was spotless and spacious, with one very private bedroom, one bedroom perched above everything, and a lovely kitchen (though we ate all our dinners outside at the picnic table). Just a great place to be!

Ronnie’s place was more than we could have asked for. The views are absolutely breathtaking. The house was better than the photos. Clean, comfy, everything we needed. Ronnie was also very responsive! If we ever go back to the area we would stay there again!

Great little house in a great location.

If there was one word to describe our stay at Ronnie’s cabin I would say magical. To wake up early in the morning. Make a pot of coffee. Go out to the deck to watch the sunrise over Cayuga Lake. The view spectacular. Then in the evening, pour a glass of local wine, and watch the glorious sunset. As the skies darken, the lights go on one by one all around the lake and the fields light up with dancing fireflies. As I said. Magical.
The cabin itself is delightful. It’s been recently renovated and the decor is tasteful and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped and spotless with everything you need. The two bedrooms have small but comfortable beds, so if a couple likes to sleep cozy, it’s perfect. The showers have good water pressure, a real plus.
One of the best aspects was the strong air conditioning. It was a hot and humid week and would have been miserable without it.
There are many stairs since it’s 3 stories. So if that’s not a dealbreaker, this place is a gem.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful Finger Lakes retreat overlooking Cayuga Lake. Set in an elevated position above the lake, the property offers expansive, panoramic views of Cayuga Lake. The sunrise and sunset views were simply breathtaking and large windows in the house make this extremely effortless.
This property overlooks a high end winery and two excellent wineries are just a 5-minute drive away. The home itself is beautifully decorated. Every detail feels carefully considered, from the elegant glassware cabinet that adds character and charm to the high-end supplies, luxurious linens, and waffle towels. The sauna was just an added luxury.
The welcome basket, s’mores kit, and even a toy for our little one were such appreciated touches.
The hosts were incredibly responsive, communicative, and accommodating throughout our stay, making everything seamless and comfortable.
We would happily return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable Finger Lakes getaway

We had a wonderful stay! The place was spotlessly clean and looked exactly like the photos. The host truly went above and beyond, leaving a thoughtful baby toy for our daughter, a bottle of wine for us, and everything we needed to make s’mores. The towels, linens, and kitchen supplies were all high quality. We felt completely at home and would happily stay again. Highly recommend!

This was our third time visiting the Finger Lakes, and by far the best accommodations of each trip. You are in the heart of it all.
The views were breathtaking making it hard to leave the cabin because you could just look out at the lake with the breeze in your hair creating total tranquility.
All of the furniture was comfortable, place was stocked with anything you need, and the host was very responsive, friendly, and just a quality human being.
