The space:
We want to provide our guests with the cottage vacation experience and hospitality that is second to none. Our design choices were made with family gatherings and the guest experience in mind. Vacationers get the cozy cottage experience with all the perks of modern amenities, elevated luxury, maximized functionality, and detailed touches. This is one of the best spots on the lake. Whether you want to swim, kayak, boat, fish, make your way tot he cove, or just relax - you can do it all from here.
You will have over 100’ of lakefront to enjoy and will have your own private dock. There are tables and chairs on the large deck, and a fire pit with Adirondack chairs by the water for your enjoyment. There is also a gas grill available for your use. We have two (2) kayaks, a canoe, and life jackets available for use, at your own risk (there is no lifeguard). The home has a level side yard and two (2) acres in back which adds to your privacy. This home was remodeled in 2021 with a bright, airy, and modern feel. WiFi included.
Our home has panoramic windows facing the water so even if the weather is not cooperating, you can still enjoy the view. Inside, the master bedroom has a king sized bed, large closet, and wireless phone chargers on both sides of the bed. There is a luggage rack for your convenience and a mounted smart TV should you want to login to your Netflix, Hulu etc. accounts.
The master bathroom offers a full sized tub/shower and new fixtures. The landing area upstairs is a great space for kids to hangout as it contains a smart TV and several games. There is also a twin over twin trundle which can be used as a couch, or beds. The upstairs bedroom contains a queen bed and full bed, along with a closet and luggage rack. Also upstairs is a portable AC unit and a full bathroom.
Guest access:
You have access to the entire house and 2.5 acre property during your stay. There are several private parking spots for your vehicle(s) and there is room on the lawn for a boat trailer. The entire property between the house and the main road is yours during your stay.

Nestled on the shores of Owasco Lake, the cottage combines all the amenities families could want: premium four-season waterfront access, 108 feet of private, level lakefront, 2.5 acres of expansive grassy yard, panoramic windows, family-friendly activities and amenities, close proximity to town, and short distance to Finger Lakes golf courses, wineries, breweries, and hiking trails.

Policies
SMOKING: There is no smoking allowed on the property. This is for the consideration of guests that may follow you and for the protection of the property.
PETS: One small dog is allowed, per a conversation and approval by the homeowner before booking. No puppies please. In your booking inquiry, please indicate size and breed. We ask that the outdoor area be free from waste before departure, and that the dog does not get on the furniture/bedding so as to minimize allergens for the next guest. There will be a $250 non-refundable charge for your pet as additional cleaning and sanitizing will be required in between guests.
QUIET HOURS: Quiet hours start at 11:00pm. Please be respectful of the neighbors as many are full time residents.
CLEANING: We have a cleaning team who will clean in between guests, but please pick up after yourselves. This is our second home with many quality upgrades and furnishings. Enjoy our home, but realize it is a home and not a hotel room. We kindly ask that you treat it with care.

Welcome! We are Lauren and Jeff Smith, and with our two daughters - couldn't be more happy to share our home with you!
We live 30 minutes from the cottage, but our love for this lake came several years ago when we were kayaking with our girls. It was a hot day and we saw these adorable cottages along the shoreline and said "someday we would love to have one of those for our family!" The opportunity presented itself, and we haven't turned back, even spending weekends here ourselves. We knew we wanted to share this with other families, to help them make memories just as we have. We wanted to offer our guests a home-like experience, so we renovated, furnished, and equipped it with quality furnishings, bedding, and decor. We don't want our guests to feel like they are in an ordinary rental, we want you to feel at home during your stay. Our goal is that by always focusing on you, we will be able to build a legacy of beautiful memories.

SO Cozy
The house was cozy, we felt right at home. Kitchen was easy to use, we were close to entertainment and local wineries. Lake access and lawn games made our trip so much more enjoyable. Would recommend and would stay here again.

Very peaceful
We gathered by the cottage, basking in the warmth of the fire, enveloped by the serene sounds of the lake. As evening fell, we watched the sunset dip below the horizon, the tranquility of the cottage replenishing our energy. We spent two nights away from the hustle and bustle of the city, a truly rejuvenating retreat!

Highly Recommend to Everyone
Large windows made the spectacular view of Owasco Lake available from the living room, dining room and kitchen. We were there only three days in March to enjoy seeing relatives who live in the area and the house made our visits easy. On our last full day the temperatures warmed up into the 60s and the sun shone brightly on the water which made a birthday dinner celebrating one of our beloved family members even more wonderful.
Because we are all a bit long in the tooth, that is to say elderly, the person sleeping on the second floor found it difficult to get up and down the circular stairway, especially when carrying things. Of course, a family younger than we should not have any issue with the stairs.
The place is beautiful, even in the off season. Summer there must be amazing.
Lauren took the initiative to text me when power was out in the area. We were not at the house at the time and were unaware of the situation. She informed me when power was restored to the area.

Lauren's lakeside home is a beautiful place for a family weekend getaway! Peaceful and serene, with lots to do both at the house and in the surrounding area. Lauren is a friendly and responsive host - and provides a full itinerary of fun activities. I recommend staying here and I would again!

We loved the history and kayaks!
We were there in the fall with a group of friends for the weekend and it was lovely to look out on the lake from the very comfy couches that easily fit all 5 of us. Next time we want to come back and use the kayaks! Hiking and cidery and Seneca Falls Women’s Right Museum highly recommended and nearby!
